Ft Collins to Estes to Littleton to Grand Lake to Grandby

We moved from Fort Collins to Estes Park on Friday evening. We stayed in a KOA park that is a night mare. We will not go back nor will we recommend it. The parking spots are not good and way too close together. We had one person on our left with three large dogs that barked constantly when they left them alone which was every meal time, wouldn't you know. Then someone across the very narrow road had two small bicycler boys that wanted to cut doughnuts right in front of my front door, and of course, that filled my house with dust from the unpaved very narrow road. Plus we had to park at the end of the very narrow road as there was not room to park next to the camper. :(
On the up side, they had some wonderful yard and garage sales in Estes Park. I picked up a bunch of stuff to use in my art.
And, the weather was much cooler than here on our hill.
On Saturaday, we drove down to south of Denver to Littleton to see DH's old Uncle and wife. It was rather amazing to see how much he resembled this old guy. I always thought he looked more like his father's family. This is the first relative of his I have met from his mother's side. They were very nice, but elderly. I am sure DH will be glad he visited them. Probably his last chance.
On Sunday, we drove though the Rocky Mountain National Park. What views! We camped just outside Grand Lake. As we was pulling into the RV park a guy was hanging a sign out that said sale. I yelled at him where and he pointed up the road above the RV park, so after we got the trailer parked and hooked up, we drove up the road into the timber where there were cabins here, there, and everywhere. We finally found this guys place and he had lots of art and antiques he was selling so he could move to Arizona...or so he says. I found a few bargains there too.
On Monday we drove from Grand Lake over to Grandby. It is a cute little town and DH found his old house he lived in as a kid. He was nostalgic about that too, especially after visiting his Uncle in Littleton who lived in Grandby at the same time.
So, on Tuesday we got up and drove all the way home saying whee whee whee.
