Spider Story

I read my DD's blog and she has a spider she claims as a pet.  It caused me to remember that my Mom always had a spider she claimed as a pet.  Most the time, they were outside, however.  I can remember her getting way mad at someone, possibly even me, when they killed one on her porch.  She said it had been there like forever, and it was her pet, and it didn't hurt anyone.  The back porch at her house was just a large cement step with room for a chair.  She would sit out on this porch and view her yard and garden and all the things in it, including her "pet spiders."
